Description:

In the year 2029, the barriers of our world have been broken down by the net and by cybernetics, but this brings new vulnerability to humans in the form of brain-hacking. When a highly-wanted hacker known as 'The Puppetmaster' begins involving them in politics, Section 9, a group of cybernetically enhanced cops, are called in to investigate and stop the Puppetmaster. The pursuit will call into question what makes a human and what is the Puppetmaster in a world where the distinction between human and machine is increasingly blurry.
1st Movie: The Puppetmaster is loose in this society, destroying people's living essence and replacing their memories with implanted ones. It falls to a small government group to stop it ... and a group of heavily augmented agents!
2nd Movie: InnocenceHumans are becoming increasingly mechanized, and now coexist with cyborgs and robots. A cyborg named Batou is a detective for Public Security Section 9, he's assigned to investigate a series of homicide-suicide cases involving androids. He's a cyborg and his body is almost entirely artificial, all that is left are traces of his brain and the memories of a woman named Motoko. She's gone through the cracks into the matrix, but she's alive somewhere in the vast eletronic network. Innocence is life, the story of a lonesome man who deperately wants to remain human.
